Nick Offerman - Parks and Recreation

I love Nick Offerman's character of Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec (one of my favorite shows!). I sent a letter, SASE and 8x10 to him on Dec. 13, 2010 and received my photo back signed and personalized with a funny inscription today, Jan. 31, 2011. He also sent his own photo, signed and personalized with a funny inscription. He is hilarious!

Rascal Flatts - country music

I'm not a huge country fan, but I like a lot of the music Rascal Flatts do. I sent a letter, SASE and 8x10 to the Sioux Falls Arena in South Dakota a few days before their show there (Jan. 10, 2011). Today, Jan. 31, 2011, I received my photo back signed by all three members of the group and it was personalized. I didn't think I'd get it back since it had been a while since the concert. Very pleased though!

Melissa Joan Hart - Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Melissa and Joey, etc.

Melissa Joan Hart is greatness. I love her new show with Joey Lawrence on ABC Family (Melissa and Joey) and I've been a big fan of hers for a long time. This is one I actually got through the mail many years ago (but she does still do a great job with her fan mail from what I've heard recently). I found this photo of her at an old movie poster store in Carrollton, TX (store is no longer there) and figured I'd send it to her. It took a long time, but I ended up getting it back signed and personalized.

Tim McGraw - country music, actor

I like Tim McGraw. I think he's a really good singer and I've liked him when I've seen him acting as well. I sent a letter, SASE, 8x10 and 4x6 to him on Nov. 30, 2010 and received both photos back signed and personalized today, Jan. 29, 2011. I also received a small note card from his fan club, which was signed also. Nice success!

Smallville - various cast

One of my guilty pleasures as far as TV shows go is Smallville. I'm a superhero nerd, so I guess that makes sense. I've collected several of the main and supporting cast over the past few months. While I'm happy with what I've got so far, there are many glaring holes in the collection, most notably, Tom Welling (Clark Kent/Superman), who is a terrible signer through the mail or in person from what I've heard. Most of these were purchased.

Dirk Benedict - The A-Team, Battlestar Galactica

The A-Team was one of my favorite shows growing, so I was thrilled to find a response from Dirk Benedict in the mailbox today. I sent a letter, SASE, 5x7 and 4x6 to him on Nov. 12, 2010 and received both signed and personalized today, Jan. 27, 2011. Very, very happy!

Kathleen Turner - Romancing the Stone, Friends, etc.

A nice success from a great actress today. I sent a letter, SASE and 4x6 to Ms. Turner on Dec. 16, 2010 and received my photo back signed today, Jan. 27, 2011.

Michael J. Fox - Family Ties, Spin City, Back to the Future, etc.

This is one my favorites of my collection. This was purchased in around 2001. I'm a huge MJF fan, so I had to add him to my collection, and I'm glad I did it when I did. He has become increasingly hard to get, either via the mail, in person or by purchasing (due to his illness).

Leann Rimes - country singer

This one coming back really shocked me. I sent a letter, SASE, 8x10 and 4x6 to The McCoy Center for the Arts in New Albany, OH on Nov. 3, 2010. Two days later, I saw that her concert had been postponed for more than two months later down the road. I figured that was it, those photos were gone. Well, the concert came this past weekend, and today, Jan. 25, 2011, my photos were in the mailbox. She signed both and personalized one. Very pleased, especially since I thought these were a lost cause. Thumbs up to the McCoy Center for actually holding onto my envelope for her for over two months.

Dennis Quaid - G.I. Joe, Frequency, D.O.A., etc.

Nice autographs from a movie legend. He's been in so many things! I sent a letter, SASE, 8x10 and 5x7 on Oct. 30, 2010. Today, Jan. 24, 2011, I received both photos back signed. He personalized the 8x10, but it unfortunately got a bit smeared. It still looks pretty good though. Very happy with this one - he's one of my favorites.

Thomas Ian Nicholas - American Pie movies, The Rookie, etc.

I sent this request on Nov. 1, 2010. I sent a letter, SASE, 5x7 and DVD cover to Mr. Nicholas. Today, Jan. 24, 2011, I received both of my items back signed and personalized, along with a small photo of his own signed and personalized. I loved him in American Pie, so I'm pleased to add him to my collection.

Jack McBrayer - 30 Rock, Talladega Nights

I sent this request to Mr. McBrayer via the studio where 30 Rock films in NY. I sent a letter, SASE and 8x10 on Jan. 14, 2011. Today, Jan. 24 (yes, 10 days later!), I received my photo back signed and personalized with a nice inscription.  Very pleased!

Taryn Manning - Hawaii Five-0, Sons of Anarchy, etc.

I'm a big fan of the new Hawaii Five-0, so I wanted to try to get Taryn's autograph since she's been a guest star on several episodes. I sent a letter, SASE, 8x10 and 4x6 to her on Nov. 27, 2010 and received both photos back signed and personalized today, Jan. 24, 2011. Another nice through the mail success. One of five today!

Kara DioGuardi - American Idol, songwriter

I sent a letter, SASE, 8x10 and 4x6 to Ms. DioGuardi on Nov. 19, 2010. Today, Jan. 24, 2011, I received my two photos back signed, one personalized. I really thought she brought a lot to American Idol with her background as a singer/songwriter. I'm sure she'll do fine without Idol though - she has written tons of songs that people don't even know were written by her.

Polly Holliday - Alice

I loved the show "Alice" as a kid. I wrote to Linda Lavin at a play in NYC a couple of months ago and she had returned my DVD cover signed, so I sent that and a 4x6 to Polly Holliday in hopes she would sign it as well. I sent on Nov. 27, 2010 and received both items signed and personalized today, Jan. 21, 2011. Very happy!

Goldie Hawn - Bird on a Wire, Overboard, Laugh In, etc.

I'm a big fan of Goldie Hawn. I sent a letter, SASE, 5x7 and 4x6 to her on Nov. 22, 2010. Today, Jan. 21, 2011, I received my photos back signed and personalized. Very happy with this one from a legend!

Jennifer Capriati - Tennis

Jennifer Capriati was a huge star at the age of 14. I always liked her because she was the same age as me and I thought it was cool how famous she was at our age. I sent a letter, SASE, 8x10 and 5x7 to her on Dec. 27, 2010. Today, Jan. 21, 2011, I received both photos back signed.

David Anders - Heroes, Alias

This is one I recently purchased. I like his character in Heroes.

Sharlto Copley - District 9, The A-Team (movie)

The A-Team movie was one of my favorite films of last year. I really liked Sharlto Copley as "Howling Mad" Murdoch. I purchased this autograph and it just came in the mail today.

Drew Barrymore - 50 First Dates, E.T., Charlie's Angels, etc.

Nothing in the mail today, so I'm going with an older purchased autograph. This is the autograph of Drew Barrymore. I'm not a huge fan of the photo, as I think of her looking like that during her crazy years, but it is still an autographed photo, so what can you do?

Sylvester Stallone - Rocky, Rambo, The Expendables, etc.

I bought this one several years ago and it is one of my favorites. Not only is Sylvester Stallone a superstar, it is also a pic from his iconic role of Rocky Balboa.

Michael Emerson - Lost

I was a big fan of Lost for the first 2 or 3 seasons, then I didn't see it again until the finale. I do know that Michael Emerson was excellent as the creepy Ben Linus. I sent a letter, SASE, 8x10 and 4x6 to Mr. Emerson on Oct. 22, 2010. I received both photos back signed, one personalized on Jan. 18, 2011. Nice additions to the collection.

Jay Leno - The Tonight Show

I got this one just by sending an email via The Tonight Show website. I asked if there was any way to get an autograph and low and behold, it was possible. I sent the email on Jan. 10, 2011 and received the autographed 8x10 photo, personalized to me on Jan. 18, 2011. Very nice, fast success!

Mia Sara - Ferris Beuller's Day Off

Ferris Beuller is one of my favorite movies. I know it is goofy, but I love it. I purchased this Mia Sara autograph in the late 90s. I'm not sure why her career never really took off.
