My hobby is collecting autographs. I started doing this about 15 years ago, and then got out of it. I just started collecting again. Some of my autographs were obtained in person, some were purchased from reputable dealers and some were obtained through the mail by writing to the celebrity.

Will Smith - Ali, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Men in Black, etc.

I felt like it was time to add some more true star power here, so I figured I'd go ahead and put my Will Smith autograph up. This was purchased and the photo is from his Oscar-nominated performance in Ali. Smith is one of the true heavy hitters in Hollywood and I'm proud to have him in my collection.

X-Men Cast - Jackman, Stewart, McKellen, etc.

When I initially started collecting autographs, the X-Men movie was big. I decided I wanted to try to get as many sigs from the movie as I could. I think I did pretty well. All of these were purchased. Below are: Anna Paquin (Rogue), James Marsden (Cyclops), Famke Janssen (Jean Grey), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Tyler Mane (Sabretooth), Bryan Singer (the director), Halle Berry (Storm), Ray Park (Toad) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine). This grouping is one of the favorites in my collection.

Jennifer Love Hewitt - Can't Hardly Wait, Party of Five, Ghost Whisperer, etc.

It was the late 90s - she was the "it" girl. What can I say, I had a bit of a crush on her, so I ended up buying her autograph from a dealer ... several times. Besides these four autographed 8x10s, I also have an autographed copy of her Maxim Magazine.

Alec Guinness - Star Wars, Lawrence of Arabia, Bridge on the River Kwai

Very happy to have this Oscar winner in my collection. I got it in the late 90s, just before he passed away in 2000. To my generation, he is Obi Wan-Kenobi, but to older generations, he is a legend. I purchased this one, and boy, am I glad I did.

Happy Days - Winkler, Howard, Ross, Bosley, Most, etc.

I worked on completing the Happy Days cast when I started collecting autographs many years ago. I'd like to think this is a pretty nice collection. I've got what I think most would consider the "core" cast members.  I purchased most of these, but I did get Marion Ross and Henry Winkler through the mail (Winkler signed my photo and sent me one of his own as well). I actually met Don Most at a trade show and got his autograph there.  Appearing below are: Scott Baio (Chachi), Tom Bosley (Howard Cunningham), Ron Howard (Richie), Erin Moran (Joanie), Don Most (Mouth), Marion Ross (Marion Cunningham), Anson Williams (Potsie) and Henry Winkler (Fonzie)(x2). The only ones I can think of I'd like to try to ad would be Al Molinaro (Al) and Pat Morita (Arnold), but Molinaro is hard to find and Morita is expensive, since he's dead and popular.

Three's Company - Ritter, Somers, DeWitt, Fell, Lindley, Kline

I recently received an autograph from Richard Kline (Larry from Three's Company) through the mail and I posted it on here. I realized today that I haven't posted the rest of my Three's Company cast, so I thought I'd just put them all together in this one post. Included below are: Joyce DeWitt (Janet), Norman Fell (Mr. Roper) and Audra Lindley (Mrs. Roper), Richard Kline (Larry), John Ritter (Jack Tripper) and Suzanne Somers (Crissy). I'm nearly finished with this group. I hope to someday be able to acquire Don Knotts in some form or fashion. It's a little tougher now that he's deceased.  I purchased all of these except Richard Kline. I got Ritter a couple of years before he passed away. The Fell and Lindley photo is kind of special, as neither of them were known as great signers. It looks like the marker failed on Fell on his first attempt, so he did it again in better fashion. I really like this grouping of autographs - Three's Company is a legendary show.

Various - Biel, McKeller, Schwimmer, Cox, Perry, etc.

This update is a catch all. I've got 10 celebrity autographs that I won in auctions years ago that are simply signatures on index cards. I figured I'd scan them and put them all in this one update. At one point I was thinking I'd get them matted and framed with photos, but I figured that was going to end up costing an arm and a leg, so I haven't done anything with them. From top to bottom they are: Jessica Biel, Courtney Cox-Arquette, Danielle Fishel, Norm MacDonald, Danica McKeller, Matthew Perry, Kelly Preston, Adam Sandler, David Schwimmer and Tiffany Amber-Thiessen.

Kristin Chenoweth - Pushing Daisies, West Wing, Broadway, etc.

I sent a letter, self addressed stamped envelope and two 8x10s to Kristin Chenoweth via her current Broadway play on Sept. 20, 2010 and received one 8x10 back signed today, Oct. 30, 2010 (last success for October!). There is no sign of my second 8x10, but that's okay - that's the cost of doing business, as they say. Great success - as Kristin has been in and will likely continue to be in tons of movies and TV shows. Nice end to a nice month of autographing!

Whoopi Goldberg - Sister Act, Ghost, The View, etc.

This one came in amazingly fast! I sent a letter, self addressed stamped envelope, 8x10 and 4x6 on Oct. 23, 2010 and received the two photos back signed today, Oct. 29, 2010 (6 days!). I really like the two photos I sent, so I'm pretty excited about this one. I can't believe it only took six days. I must have sent at the perfect time or something.

Tim Allen - Wild Hogs, Home Improvement, much more

I sent a letter of request, a self addressed stamped envelope, an 8x10 and a 4x6 to Tim Allen on Oct. 18, 2010. I received the two photos back signed today, Oct. 29, 2010. He has a terrible signature, but it seems to match up pretty well to his in person signature, so I'm assuming it is authentic.

Rachel McAdams - Mean Girls, Sherlock Holmes, Wedding Crashers, etc.

Another big through the mail success today. I sent a letter, a self addressed stamped envelope and 2 8x10 photos to Rachel McAdams on Sept. 13. 2010 and received both photos back signed and personalized today, Oct. 27. 2010. She is becoming a huge star, so I'm really pleased to add these photos to my collection. She's not at all bad looking either! It does look like her pen messed up a bit in signing her name on the red carpet photo, but the other one is perfect, so I'll live.

William Daniels - Boy Meets World, Voice of KITT on Knight Rider

I loved Boy Meets World and Mr. Feeney was a big reason why I loved it. He was the kind of teacher every kid should have at some point in their school years. He was also the perfect voice for KITT on Knight Rider, which I watched every week as a child. I sent a 4x6 and 8x10 to Mr. Daniels on Oct. 1, 2010 and received them both back signed and personalized on Oct. 26, 2010. Another great success!
